What they’re saying

I think this really reflects Mark’s skill as a great songwriter and storyteller. I love the full band sound – crisp, clean and tasty. The songs are thoughtful, reflective, fun, and I think will really connect with people. They sure did with me.

Could this be a crowning achievement? Hopefully not, and there will be more to come, more insight, more keen observations and more commentary about the journey of your life

Having been a kid at one point in time, which I had forgotten about, until I heard “So Small Now”. I immediately became emotional about that time in my life. You nailed it from my perspective, and I wished I could go back to that innocent time. Thanks!

My other favorite is “My Monadnock County” because it brought back memories about my time there (in New England). I smile every time I hear the chorus come in because it sounds to me like the guys in the movie “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?”. Very good!

“When This is All Over”, so good I almost had to pull over. I had a hell of a week and this album is my dear friend today.

“I played your CD three times today, not because it’s you or maybe it’s just because it’s you! What great songs and great performances…goose bump material! If this CD doesn’t bring you accolades there’s something wrong with this world.”

“Mark Frederick Fisher and his songs are timeless. His character is true, humbling, and inspiring…and his music emulates just that. A rich, soulful, and heartwarming sound. Not only is he a master musician with the utmost experience, but he is also one of the most kind and generous human beings I have ever met. Enjoy what he has to offer.”
Evan Foisy
“The songs are often whimsical and witty. Fisher’s friendly, clear vocals are reason enough to take a listen.”
Music Matters Review
“Mark has been playing his trademark mix of humorous, introspective and socio-political songs since the release of his very first CD, They Went North in 1995. Through the years, Mark has honed his innate ability to convey everyday happenstance in song to a steadfast artform. His casual, familiar delivery and succinct word play is as comfortable and satisfying as a conversation with a dear old friend.”
